Busy Busy Busy

Last week was so busy and I just can't keep up with everything. And since the blog isn't calling out my name all day long, or tugging on my arm it tends to fall to the side. (Those screaming boys and all their energy seem to get most of my attention :)

Here's another winner for mom's day solider cards. (sorry about the smudge..I just have this one right now as I am just starting the rest of them.) This one I have started to mass produce and hope to get a lot done. I think I can cut out flowers while I am at soccer practice this week. I have to have them all done my Friday!! Yikes...April sure did sneak up on me. I will take a picture of all the winning card designs I am using for the soldiers cards when I have a chance and great light in the morning.

This card is made with an SU set from sale-abration. I LOVE this set! I also used stickles to add some glitter to the flower that is popped up for dimension. (I am really into my pop dots lately...I think almost all cards I am making have them!)

Have a great week and I will try to get back here in a few days!

A Favorite

I love love love this card! I will be making a ton of these for the soldiers for mothers day. The flower is from the same set of stamps the previous post's cards are from. I think the sentiment will be on the inside of the card. I can imagine all kinds of uses for this card. I have a small sentiment PTI set that will work so well on the front of this card. My friends can expect a set of these for gifts as the year moves on.

Happy Easter!! (the bunny visits us tonight so we can hunt tomorrow since we have early church on Sunday!)

One Stamp Two Ways

Here is a fun stamp I got in a set the other day. I was so happy to find a set of flowers that I like each and every flower in the set, plus it is a clear set so that is even better.

The first card is a bit off in color for some reason (it appears really gray to me) so sorry. The PP behind the image is out of a DCWV stack and has glitter on the white stripes. The Image is popped off the base of the card.

And both of these cards will have a mother's day sentiment on it eventually. I can't find a fancier looking stamp so I am going to order one online to use.

The second card is also has it's image popped off the base of the card, and the white paper has its edges inked in blue.

Hope you enjoy!

Cuttlebugged Mom's Day card

So another Mom's day card for you all to see. I am loving the cuttlebug and am so glad I got one. I was really debating the purchase when I made it and everytime I use it I love it more. I think it really dresses up my simple style.

I am thinking this card needs something else. I am thinking ribbon. I wanted to find a flower that matches the embossed flowers but I can't find one in my collection of stuff. And I am trying to hold off my sb purchases for a bit. (gotta save money for summer vacations!)

Hope you have had a great weekend!

Mom's Day

Here is another one for Mother's Day. For some reason the picture is crooked and off a little bit but you get the idea. It is cuttlebugged with an embossing folder and there is a great rhinestone in the middle of the flower. Simple, easy and my kids love to use the cuttlebug so I think this one will be a one I do for the soldiers. (that way my kids get in on the serving others idea too.)

I am thinking that I will do some mass production of a few cards that I love and then I will put in a few random cards made with scraps and other pieces of paper I don't have a lot of anymore. I hope you like this one!

Happy weekend!

Classic but simple

Okay so this is the simplest card in the world. but I tend to do this simple kind of card when I have no ideas left and need to break that creative block. It is just a piece of paper and a ribbon, anyone can do this. So easy and much too simple. But classic--at least I think so.

So I hope you like this and just think....sometimes we make things a lot harder than they should be!

Mothers Day Card

Well this card I'm not to sure of for Mother's Day. When I think of mom's day I am thinking pastels, flowers, bright spring colors. This card is sooo the opposite. I love the colors (fall colors are my favorite ones) but I'm not sure I love them for mom's day. I think I'll use this idea for another card change up the PP and go with something more spring-y.

Hope you don't get tired of mom's day because that is where my head is in trying to get my 200 cards done......so expect to see those kind of cards from me for a bit more!

Happy weekend!

(Oh and don't forget to set your clocks forward tonight!)

Figuring it out...

Well I am back on the crafty bandwagon. I got three cards made last night that I actually like so that is a great improvement from what I have made in the last few weeks. I really think I just need to work through my crafty blocks and just keep going. I took a few days off than just sat with my stuff, cleaning it, organizing it, putting stuff away, rediscovering things I forgot I had or hadn't seen in a while. That seemed to work so I'll try that again and hopefully all this will be figured out.

I really like this card and it is so basic but I think it has a bit of class in it too. I am really thinking a lot about how simple my cards are now. I hope that is okay. I mean it is okay for me but I wonder if those who receive them really enjoy them too. Maybe I worry to much but I am really enjoying this white simple phase I am in. I am going to try to get myself to use more colors though and I think that will challenge me some more.

Another PTI card

This is made with the same stamp set as yesterday's card. Same ink colors and paper colors but a little different look.
I love the new inks I bought. They are the dewdrop inks, I am just having a hard time remembering not to ink up the stamps so much. I have always been loyal to one brand of ink and in the past two months I have branched out to try out two other brands. Both of these brands are very different but have great qualities. I just need to remember to think about the type of ink I am using before I stamp. It would save a lot of having to redo images and frustration on my part.
My cards seem to get more and more simple, but I really love the look of clean and simple.
Have a great Thursday!

So how's this?

I love this stamp set from PTI and have such a hard time using it. This card took two days....well not all day but both evenings. I think I stamped and stamped this image over and over tyring to find the right combo for me. I also started using some new inks which seem to have a learning curve with drying and it gives out a lot of ink when I get the ink on the stamp. So there was a lot of mistakes due to ink smudging. Even with all the smudges I am really liking this card. I am thinking it will make a great mother's day card too. (I am participating in a group which is sending mothers day cards to our soldiers overseas so they can mail them back to their moms and wives. my personal goal is 200 cards.....I have got to get stamping!)
I am really liking this card though and it includes one of my favorite colors---old olive. I love how the ink matches this random scrap paper I had. Now I have to figure out what the name and brand of the paper is so i can get more.
Have a great day!!

Inner Crafty-ness has Disappeared!!

So I have no crafty-ness left in me. I can't seem to find my inner crafty. I don't know where it went and I can't get it back.

I have so much to do and I keep trying to stamp and scrapbook but nothing is really looking all that great.

So as soon as I have something that is share-worthy I'll be posting it!!
