No Time for Crafting

So this past week was busy and this week isn't looking any calmer. So here is a card I created in Deember as a part of the Birthday set I gave my mil. I love the colors.....lately I am back into my love with old olive, a color I haven't used in a while now. I used to go through packs of it. Right now I am doing 200 wedding thank yous with white and old olive as the colors. It is very elegant and has gotten me back into using old olive again.

Also debbie has nominated me for this blog award......

THANKS DEBBIE!! It's good to know that someone out there is reading besides my family!

Happy Valentines Day!!

Okay so these are what I made for my son's school....another teacher appreciation committee thing for Valentines Day. I loved them when i first say them on splitcoast!! They are shaped like those little sour cream containers and when you rip them open you get Hershey Kisses!!
I could not get a non-blurry picture this morning that was close up so you get the one that is far away with my hand in it and a close up blurry one! SO sorry, but I wanted to share them with you before I am off to help at school today and then I am doing a "red and white valentines dinner" for my Fmaily tonight along with our annual valentines treasure hunt.....so you get a blurry picture before I am too busy to post again!!
I hope you all have a great Valentines day!!

Valentines Blocks

Here are what I made for gifts for a few ladies in my church for Valentines. They were easy to do...painting, modge podge the paper on, cut out letters and paint hearts. And some embellishments and you have a cute tabletop decoration. (the happy is a small happy stamp covered with a page pebble, and the heart has fine martha stewart glitter on top of it. I don't think you can tell those two things from the picture at all! Oh and there is a see through pink flower off the side of the 'y' block) The blocks are 4X4.

Hope you have a great Valentines Day!!

OVER 1000

and i just noticed there have now been over 1000 views on this little blog of mine! It might just be the same 4 friends looking every time, but hey I feel the love!!

thanks everyone!!

Chocolate and Patterened Paper

A friend asked if I could help her make some of these candy bar pulls she saw on Splitcoast yesterday for a baby shower. I love splitcoast for many reasons one being that they have specfic instructions to make things like this and you don't have to figure it all out again on your own. So following thier instructions it took me less than 5 minutes to create each of these. Since it was so easy I had to make a few extra and am now thinking this would be super easy to do for teacher gifts and classroom gifts for my boys' valentines parties at school. And I love how the ribbon, when pulled brings up the candy bar!
So if you are looking for a way easy craft today here it is.....a 6X 7 inch piece of paper, score it on the 6 inch side at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2 tape two sides shut, punch holes on the open side of the paper insert ribbon thorugh the holes and push a candy bar into the opening (this will rig it so when the ribbon is pulled the candy bar will slide up) tie a bow and you are done!!
I used hershey's candy bars and they are the perfect size!!
Happy chocolate goodness to you all!!

Orange and Brown

Okay so lots of you know that I love brown paired with almost any color so here are two brithday cards in brown and orange. All the lettering is by Making Memories and the other papers are random companies ( and are out of my scrap bucket! I love using stuff out of my scrap bucket and have been trying really hard to use up stuff I own instead of buying more and more without using what I have.).

I hope to have some valentine stuff to show you next time!! Happy February!
